Rita Jenner

SAPHNA Committee member
I have been qualified as an adult nurse for 29 years, I trained as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse in health visiting in 1998 and in 2008 I converted to school nursing. I worked in School Nursing in Suffolk for 12 years and currently I am working with Suffolk and North Essex ICB as Deputy Designated Clinical Officer for SEND. I was fortunate to meet many of the original members of SAPHNA during a National School Nursing Leadership course, and have been a committee member since 2018.
I am very proud to be part of this small but mighty charity which has a firm focus on achieving the best outcomes for children and young people. I have been honoured to see the progress of the charity and the influence and achievement which this organisation has had on national policy. I feel passionately about the importance of influencing policy and the importance of networking with like minded people who share the values of this organisation.
