It is an challenging yet exciting time for school and public health nursing.  In our Inaugural Survey of School Nursing – The Forgotten Frontline | SAPHNA – School And Public Health Nurses Association, school and public health nurses shared the challenges faced in contemporary practice and how they are responding to those challenges, sharing innovations and good practice. SAPHNA's Mission is to support the development of excellence in practice, improving outcomes for school-aged children and young people, and reducing inequalities. We are creating a community of practice (COP) Workforce Development and School Nurse Practice | SAPHNA – School And Public Health Nurses Association. The first COP is on the 24th June. This COP is free for SAPHNA members, a charge is made for non-members. You can join in discussions on this forum. Please share the challenges faced and how you are developing school and public health nursing services to respond to the increasing and more complex needs of school-aged children and young people, at a time when resources for school nursing are under pressure. We look forward to your posts that exemplify promotion, prevention and early intervention, improving health and wellbeing outcomes of school-aged children and young people and reducing inequalities.
