Congenital Heart Disease – Heart to Heart Resources to support children and young people
22 January 2024
Sallyann Sutton had the pleasure to meet with Kaye Walsh, Lead Nurse, Congenital Heart Disease Network who shared the amazing co-production work with children and young people to share their stories, experiences, and challenges of living with congenital heart disease.
This 10-minute film is an amazing resource for school nurses to use and share with schools and other settings, putting a spotlight on the Lives of Young Hearts Living with CHD.
This powerful film, produced by Tin Arts, a charitable Organisation www.tinarts.co.uk shows the courage, resilience, and courage of 5 children and young people, a great example of the voice of the child. Kay had a vision of creating a resource that would be available to young people wherever and whenever they needed support from peers, from people like them. This could be a resource that is used in schools and other settings to educate others about CHD in children.
