Expert Advisory Group
The expert advisory group (EAG) is a group of appointed practitioners who volunteer to provide a voice from practice to help SAPHNA to reflect the views of its members.
The role of EAG members includes:
- Bring insight into school and public health nursing practice priorities.
- Provide expert professional advice and guidance.
- Support quality assurance and quality improvement of SAPHNA resources through peer review on areas of interest and/or expertise.
- Bring new ideas, suggestions for innovative and constructive challenge.
- Promote membership of SAPHNA
- Represent SAPHNA at external events and publicity opportunities as relevant according to expertise.
The group consists of school nurses, or other members of school nursing teams or working in a field related to public health who are appointed to the EAG via an application process. Members must be able demonstrate, via the application process, current personal and professional development, and commitment to the progression of school and public health nursing. EAG membership is a term of 2-years and the commit 30 hours of volunteering each year, in return there are many benefits to volunteering for SAPHNA. Here is what our EAG members say:
