Every child with epilepsy deserves to be safe and included at school
1 in 3 children with epilepsy are currently left without the crucial support they need at school.
Seizures missed or mistaken for not paying attention. School staff unaware of what to do when a seizure happens. Children unnecessarily excluded from learning, sports and trips.
Young Epilepsy’s petition is calling for UK governments to ensure that every child with epilepsy has an Individual Healthcare Plan (IHP) so they can participate fully in school life.
Every child deserves an equal chance to succeed. Understand their epilepsy and help them reach their potential.
