Join the conversation: Change the NHS

Wednesday 11th December 10am-12 noon.

The government have launched what they hope will be the biggest conversation about the future of the NHS. Read more: Change NHS. This webinar is open to all school and public health nurses and their skill mixed teams. It is an opportunity for you to hear first hand about the proposals and to ‘have your say’ to help shape the 10 Year Health Plan for England. Amongst the ‘Change the NHS’ proposals are 3 shifts:

  • Shift 1: moving more care from hospitals to communities
  • Shift 2: making better use of technology in health and care
  • Shift 3: focussing on preventing sickness, not just treating it

Who will be presenting? We are pleased to be joined by Duncan Burton, Chief Nursing Officer for England, Jamie Waterall, Chief Public Health Nurse Office, and members of the 0-19 Clinical Programmes Unit. You will hear about the ‘Change the NHS’ conversation and the importance of every public health practitioner contributing to the conversation. We will then use ‘breakout’ rooms so you can share your views, ideas and thoughts with your fellow school and public health practitioners.

Why should you attend? School and public health nurses have an important role to advocate for school-aged children and young people and their profession. This is your chance to make your voice count. Following the webinar we ask that you take time to complete the so that you shared your views, experiences and ideas as part of this engagement to help shape the 10 Year Health Plan for England Project: Start here | Change NHS.
