The SAPHNA Vision for School Nursing provides a blue-print built upon robust evidence on which to rebuild School nursing services. It sets out a new model for School Nursing, taking into account the impact of COVID 19 on our children, young people and families, including the stark inequalities and the yet unknown and untold physical and collateral damage. We propose a service delivery model across three levels of provision; universal reach, personalised response and specialist support with safeguarding children and young people as a key component running throughout the model. The model is built on the principles of proportionate universalism, providing a service that is universally accessible to all, however, offers additional help for those who need it most’. It is hoped that this will influence key Governmental Departments, Commissioners, Providers and our key stakeholders in shaping School Nursing services fit for the future’. Sharon White, CEO
