SAPHNA Student School Nurse Award 2023
We are pleased to announce a new award open to specialist community public health nursing (SCPHN) health visitor and school nurse students. SAPHNA will be hosting the Student School Nurse Award and nomination details are below. The iHV will be hosting the Health Visiting award and details can be found on their website: https://ihv.org.uk
SAPHNA is proud to be celebrating the role of student school nurses who will be our school nurse leaders of the future and advocates for children and young people. SAPHNA is inviting submissions in the format of an abstract and poster from student school nurses for an innovation in practice which aims to improve outcomes for children and young people, reducing health inequalities. The innovation will describe a service development focused on one or more of the high impact areas. We are seeking nominations from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) providing the SCPHN School Nurse education programme. Each student submission must be supported by an academic/practice educator.
The winning student will be notified week commencing the 24th July 2023. The award includes a free place at the SAPHNA Conference, 12th September 2023 where the successful student will be invited to present their poster and accept a SAPHNA Award Certificate. The supporting academic/practice educator will also receive a free conference place.
