‘Sad news for the School Nursing community; Caroline Lowton’
10 July 2020
Morning All,
I found out yesterday that one of our school nursing community, Caroline Lowton, who worked in Leyland, Lancashire, has suddenly and tragically passed away. Her death was not COVID 19 related. She leaves behind two girls aged 10 and 7; so very very sad.
I don’t know if any of you knew her, I did, but only a little. I knew she was one of our brightest school nursing stars, an amazing practitioner, lecturer, CPT and innovator who, in fact, I had correspondence with only on Monday. It only goes to show just how fragile life is.
We have offered to support any planned legacy to her and, of course, will send our condolences on behalf of SAPHNA to her family and colleagues. We will keep you informed.
Meantime do all take very special care and hold your loved ones close
Sharon
