Announcement: Judith Nembhard

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our respected colleague, Judith Nembhard. She was a close colleague of SAPHNA’s SallyAnn Sutton, who remembers her here:

‘Judith was such a kind, caring and wonderful person. She had Health Visiting running through her veins both in Walsall and nationally. She made huge contributions to shape Health Visiting and to ensure a seamless pathway across and with School Nursing. She will be sadly missed but NOT forgtotten’

I too had the pleasure to work with Judith at a national level and found her to have passion and compassion in equal measure, driven by wanting the very best for the children and families with whom she worked; a shared vision. It is somewhat poignant that her final activity on Twitter was re-tweeting me to celebrate International Nurses Day; she was all that nursing should be and more. We will remember her for all that she stood for and for the impact that will live on in her legacy.

We send our deepest condolences to her family, friends and colleagues. May she rest in peace.
